Job Opening: Maintenance Assistant

Maintenance Assistant wanted! Opportunity with great company here in the Wabash valley! A valuable opportunity to begin a career in maintenance technology! ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ·      Perform basic mechanical maintenance or repair functions. ·      Read and interpret, blueprints, schematics, process instructions and/or job specifications. ·      Use basic mechanical hand tools to perform maintenance functions. ·      Assist Maintenance Technicians with equipment or building repairs and maintenance. ·      Perform other duties as assigned. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: ·      Must have a high school diploma or GED. ·      Must have at least two years’ work experience in a maintenance function or successfully complete a two-year accredited program in maintenance technology. ·      Must have basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics. ·      Must have knowledge of safety procedures, i.e., lockout, lifting, etc. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: ·      Must demonstrate ability to read and interpret blueprints or schematics. ·      Must demonstrate ability to safely use various hand tools.·      Must demonstrate ability to follow safety instructions and procedures.
