Job Opening: Material Handler

MATERIAL HANDLER 

Evening Shift: 1:30 pm – 12:00 am Monday – Thursday 

Steel shop seeking Material Handler to assist removing material from burn machines and palletize materials. Temp to hire position for 2nd shift.

Duties include but not limited to:

•  To keep material ready for the burn machines to burn and to be able to empty the burn tables of parts to be palletized.
•  To keep burn tables loaded and able to burn parts at all times.
• Ability to unload parts and palletize them so more material can be placed on burn table to continue burning.
• Know where appointed locations of different materials are located
• Required to operate an overhead crane to load/unload table
• Operate a forklift to move pallets to next destination
• To determine which thickness and grade material is needed per nest and heat number.
• Temp to hire position
• Salary range: $16.00 to $18.00
• Shift hours: 1:30 pm to 12:00 am Monday through Thursday 

Requirements:

• 1 year of experience
• Basic Math knowledge
• Able to follow instructions and work safely
• Able to do heavy lifting
• Ability to work well with others
• Keep materials in appointed locations
• Hot and cold temperatures depending on seasons
• Noisy at times
• Steel shop environment
• Will be exposed to plasma arc flash and bright lights
• Overhead crane experience
• Sit-down forklift experience
