Location: Saint Paul, MN

Schedule: Mon–Thurs 5:00 AM–3:30 PM (some roles 6:00 AM–4:30 PM)

Pay: $22–$28/hr DOE • Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire

A metal fabrication company in Saint Paul seeks a Machine Operator to support roll bending, cutting, forming, welding, and custom metal production. This long-term role offers hands-on work, technical variety, and growth potential.

Position Summary

The Machine Operator will operate metalworking equipment, perform setups, assist with welding tasks, run production parts, and complete quality checks. Mechanical aptitude and fabrication experience are important.

Equipment: Roll benders, tube benders, shears, brake presses, saws, plate rollers.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and set up fabrication machinery

• Adjust machine settings or assist with programming

• Read blueprints, drawings, work orders

• Perform routine maintenance and ensure part quality

• Support MIG, TIG, or spot welding

• Inspect parts using measuring tools

• Maintain logs and report issues

• Follow safety procedures and keep work areas clean

Qualifications

Required: HS diploma/GED, blueprint reading, basic math, fabrication knowledge, attention to detail, reliability, and basic welding experience.

Preferred: 1+ year fabrication or machining experience, bending/rolling setup, custom workflow knowledge, troubleshooting.
