Machine Operator / Forklift Operator – CNC Saw Training Provided (Temp-to-Hire)

Pay: $22–$28/hour (DOE)
Location: Blaine, MN
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

We are seeking a reliable Forklift Operator who is interested in growing their skills as a Machine Operator (CNC saw) for a temp-to-hire opportunity with a well-established plastics distribution and fabrication company. This role is ideal for someone with solid forklift experience who is mechanically inclined and eager to learn CNC saw operation in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Position Overview

The primary responsibilities will include operating a forklift to move and stage materials throughout the facility, while receiving training to operate CNC saws and related cutting equipment used to process plastic rod, sheet, and tube to precise specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, stage, and transport materials throughout the shop and warehouse
• Pull, restock, and track materials while maintaining accurate counts
• Learn to operate CNC panel saws and other cutting equipment (training provided)
• Assist with machine setup, blade selection, and cut adjustments based on work orders
• Measure materials using tape measures, calipers, or squares to verify accuracy
• Enter inventory and production data using barcode scanners or computer systems
• Perform routine equipment checks and follow all safety procedures, including Lock-out/Tag-out
• Support general warehouse duties such as packaging, labeling, and material storage

Qualifications

• Forklift operating experience required (certification preferred)
• Mechanical aptitude and interest in learning CNC saw operation
• Ability to read measurements and follow written instructions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Reliable attendance and willingness to cross-train
