CNC Mill Lead

Pay: $21.50–$30.00/hour (Depending on Experience)
Shifts: 2nd & 3rd Shift Available (Must be able to train on 1st shift)

Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated CNC Mill Lead to oversee daily operations in our CNC machining area. This role provides hands-on technical leadership, supports machinists and operators, ensures quality and safety standards, and maintains efficient workflow throughout the shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations in the CNC milling area
• Assign work, set priorities, and optimize labor and machine utilization
• Train and mentor CNC machinists and operators
• Set up and operate CNC mills as needed
• Inspect parts to ensure compliance with drawings and tolerances
• Troubleshoot machining issues, tooling problems, and equipment errors
• Monitor machine performance and support preventative maintenance
• Maintain accurate production and tooling documentation
• Collaborate with programming and engineering on process improvements
• Enforce safe work practices and company policies
• Support performance feedback and training development
• Drive continuous-improvement and lean initiatives

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification preferred
• Lead or supervisory experience in machining required
• Minimum 3 years CNC milling experience
• Strong knowledge of G-code, tooling, feeds & speeds
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
• Proven troubleshooting ability for machining and tooling issues
• Working knowledge of CAD/CAM software
• Willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shift and train on 1st shift during onboarding
