Material Handler

Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Material Handler / Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team in Brownstown. This position involves operating multiple types of powered industrial equipment, including stand-up (reach truck), sit-down forklift, and elevated platform equipment (order picker/cherry picker). The ideal candidate is comfortable working at heights, adaptable to changing tasks, and committed to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate reach truck (stand-up forklift)

• Operate sit-down forklift as needed

• Operate elevated platform equipment (order picker/cherry picker) requiring use of a safety harness

• Perform general material handling duties, including moving, staging, and organizing product

• Load and unload materials safely and efficiently

• Maintain a clean and organized work area

• Assist with additional warehouse support tasks, including cleaning duties as required

• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines, especially when working at heights

Experience & Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of relevant forklift experience

• Steel-toed shoes required

• Updated resume

Work Habits & Reliability:

• Good attendance record

• Reliable transportation

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently lift up to 50 lbs; occasionally lift 75+ lbs

• Lift and move objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights

• Bend, stoop, squat, twist, push, and pull

• Stand, walk, or sit for extended periods

• Use hands and fingers to handle tools and equipment

• Ability to work in hot or cold warehouse environments
