Key Responsibilities
- Operate Mechanized Cleaning Equipment
- Use various machines such as vacuums, polishers, and buffers to maintain facility cleanliness.
- Ensure proper handling and maintenance of all cleaning equipment.
- Floor Care
- Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors using brooms, mops, and powered machines.
- Maintain all floor surfaces to a high standard of cleanliness and safety.
- Routine Maintenance
- Replace general maintenance items, including air conditioning filters and light bulbs, as needed.
- Report any maintenance issues, such as leaky faucets, toilets, or missing hardware, to management immediately.
- Trash and Waste Management
- Empty trash bins regularly and dispose of waste materials appropriately.
- Keep parking lots and yard areas free of general trash; report large debris to supervisors for removal.
- Area Inspections and Spill Management
- Periodically check all areas—especially break rooms—for spills, water, or other hazards.
- Take prompt action to address spills and ensure safety.
- Cleaning of Facilities
- Clean buildings, break rooms, offices, and meeting rooms to maintain a hygienic environment.
- Restrooms: Clean sinks, mirrors, toilets, and restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and hand towels daily.
- Furniture: Dust and polish as needed.
- Safety and Compliance
- Use safety precautions in all housekeeping activities.
- Place appropriate signage (e.g., “Wet Floor”) during cleaning or when safety hazards are present.
- Follow all instructions regarding the use of cleaning solutions and chemicals.
- Additional Duties
- Carry out extra cleaning tasks as assigned by supervisors or management.
- Ensure all assigned cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.
- Perform other related duties as directed by management.
