ResourceMFG NOW Hiring In Lafayette, IN for Utilities Operator
Must be flexible between 530AM-6PM or 5:30PM-6AM
$25 per hour
Primary responsibilities and accountabilities of the job:
- Work consistently and reliably in the water group
- Can successfully perform all technical procedures within area of responsibility after a reasonable learning curve
- Start/Stop the 100 psig air compressors
- Start/Stop portable 100 psig
- Familiarization with the weekly checklists and emergency equipment
- Learn the remote well operations
- Learns and utilizes Provox and Delta V
- Can effectively assist with the changing of chlorine cylinders per procedural requirements
- Be current in assigned training plan including Utilities departmental safety procedures and policies
- Accurately and legibly documents work and observations in log sheets
- Follows written and verbal direction from qualified designee
- Effectively communicates/interacts with coworkers and customers within and outside of department
- Understands and follows the departmental expectations regarding attendance, accountability and communication with supervision
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least 3 years of manufacturing or military experience within the last 10 years is required
- Applicant must pass the WorkKeys assessment
- Must possess or be willing to obtain IDEM water certification
- *Hazardous conditions involving the use of acids, caustics, other hazardous chemicals, and potential allergens Must be able to work 12 hour shifts, days and nights
- *Perform all operations necessary to support site service utilities including gas fired boilers, boiler feed water systems, potable water systems and water for operation systems, turbine and electric air compressors, cooling towers, various chillers and chilled water systems in a safe, efficient and environmentally responsible manner.
