Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing advanced maintenance duties to support safe, efficient, and reliable operation of building systems and production equipment. This role requires strong mechanical and technical skills, the ability to work independently, and the capability to support and train other maintenance personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all duties associated with Maintenance Person Level 3 work.
- Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on building systems and production equipment.
- Perform plumbing repairs, electrical troubleshooting, and work with pneumatic, hydraulic, and lubrication systems.
- Assist Tool Room Machinists, Electrical Maintenance Technicians, and Mechanics with complex maintenance and repair tasks.
- Perform welding, brazing, and soldering for maintenance repairs and fabrication projects.
- Provide training, guidance, and technical support to Maintenance Person Level 3 personnel.
- Work safely and efficiently with minimal supervision while following all safety policies and procedures.
Work Environment & Physical Conditions
- Industrial/factory setting with routine use of hand tools, power tools, production gauges, and specialized equipment.
- Regular exposure to vibration and moderately loud noise levels.
- Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and hazardous equipment.
- Must be able to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance preferred.
- Welding experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
