Job Opening: Shipping Clerk

Job Summary

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for preparing, organizing, and shipping outgoing orders while maintaining accurate shipping records. This role includes operating a forklift to move, load, and stage materials safely and efficiently within the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and process outgoing shipments according to company and customer requirements
• Verify orders for accuracy, including quantities, labeling, and documentation
• Load and unload trucks using a forklift and other material-handling equipment
• Stage and organize finished goods for shipment
• Maintain accurate shipping logs, bills of lading, and inventory records
• Coordinate with warehouse, production, and logistics teams to meet shipping schedules
• Inspect shipments for damage and report discrepancies
• Follow all safety procedures, including forklift and warehouse safety standards
• Keep shipping and dock areas clean and organized

Forklift Duties

• Operate sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts to move pallets and materials
• Safely load and unload trailers
• Perform basic forklift inspections before use
• Follow OSHA and company forklift safety guidelines
