Job Opening: Production Operator
Description
ResourceMFG is hiring Production Operators for a Plastics Manufacturer in S. Austin.
As a Production Operator, you are responsible for operating production equipment, assembling components, and ensuring quality standards across various manufacturing processes, including assembly, injection molding, foam production, and seat manufacturing. You will work with diverse tools, machinery, and materials while maintaining safety protocols and supporting our culture of continuous improvement.
- Assemble cockpit components (brackets, wiring harnesses)
- Use pneumatic torque guns and hand tools
- Follow SOPs and torque specifications
- Perform self-inspections and functional tests (screens, buttons) per IATF 16949
- Identify and document defects; assist with rework or scrap
- Maintain production pace based on Takt Time
- Perform basic tool checks and maintenance
- Maintain 5S standards at workstations
- Submit improvement ideas for quality and efficiency
Shift: Monday – Friday. 8:30am – 5pm.
Pay: $18 per hour
Temp to Hire
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical/quality certification preferred)
- Skilled with hand tools and pneumatic equipment
- Basic knowledge of assembly procedures and quality standards
- Able to read and interpret basic technical drawings
