Job Opening: PCBA Maintenance Technician
Description
Maintenance Mechanic – PCB Assembly & Battery Systems
Location: Buford
Pay Rate : $18.00 Per Hour
Join our growing team as a Maintenance Mechanic supporting production of advanced battery systems and electronic assemblies. This role is hands-on, technical, and ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform maintenance and repair on equipment used in battery production and PCB assembly
• Assemble, troubleshoot, and repair printed circuit boards using both SMT and THT methods
• Conduct wave soldering, hand soldering, lead trimming, and detailed inspection
• Use a wide range of hand tools and test equipment
• Safely lift and move materials over 50 lbs
• Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives
Required Skills & Experience
• Strong background in Printed Circuit Board (PCB) assembly
• Experience with SMT (Surface Mount Technology): the process of building circuit boards using tiny components placed on top of the board rather than through holes. These components are positioned by machines, glued or soldered, and then melted in a reflow oven.
• Experience with THT (Through-Hole Technology): components with metal legs that pass through holes in the board and are soldered on the bottom. These parts are larger, more durable, and commonly used in power supplies, motors, transformers, and power tool electronics.
• Proficiency in soldering techniques and inspection standards
• Ability to read schematics, follow work instructions, and diagnose equipment issues
