Quality Control Technician
Full Time in Ripley, MS
Monday – Friday, 6am-2:30pm

Overall Responsibilities:
- Generates and operates CMM programs for first piece, in-process, and final inspections
- Maintains CMM machines to include probe qualifications, regular cleaning and inspection of scales
- Reports on fixtures needed to hold products for inspection during product development; sets criteria for instruments and specifications
- Communicate with the Quality department to develop inspection methods, tool mapping, First Article Inspections (FAI’s), and in process checks for the floor
- Revises product programs and documents based on engineering changes, as required
- Maintains the Program library in an organized manner so personnel can access information to verify inspection criteria
- Communicates with and responds to department managers and operators concerning resolution of Quality related issues
- Understands and works toward Quality objectives and cost containment; continually optimizes the inspection process by identifying Quality bottlenecks that hinder production
- Responsible for accurately completing documentation (i.e. work travelers and inspection sheets)
- Interacts with customers
- Assists in composing work instructions
- Performs gage calibrations
- Performs product testing
- Assist with day-to-day trouble shooting of quality issues
Qualifications, Skills, Competencies:
- Ability and Experience programming Zeiss Coordinate Measuring Machines
- Advanced knowledge of the field of geometric dimensions and tolerances
- Detailed knowledge of precision measuring instruments and the application of the instruments in real world inspection situations, including but not be limited to, calipers, micrometers, depth gages, indicators, and plug and tread Go/No Go gages
- General knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001
- Skilled in the use of computer software to include, but not limited to Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, and Excel), Adobe PDF, metrology software, internet explorer, and Visual Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
- Skilled in setting priorities that move projects through efficiently to achieve customer and quality objectives
- Skilled in working independently and following through with assignments with minimal direction
- Ability to read drawings and specifications containing geometric dimensions and tolerances
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
- Ability to learn and adapt to changing technology
- Ability to clearly communicate and understand information in English, both orally and in writing
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Ability to lift parts and products for inspection and connection purposes.
- Manufacturing plant environment
