Location: Durham, NC
Pay Rate: $24/hour or DOE
Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Currently extended to 4:30 PM due to business needs)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Lead for the Powder Coat Department to join our dynamic team in Durham, NC. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of the powder coating department, ensuring high-quality standards, efficiency, and safety. You will lead, train, and mentor a team of powder coat painters, ensuring they have the tools and skills needed to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the powder coat department.

• Assign tasks to team members to ensure production schedules are met.

• Train, mentor, and provide support to powder coat painters, helping them improve their skills and adhere to company standards.

• Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and functioning.

• Maintain a clean and organized paint booth and powder coat department.

• Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and improve processes.

• Enforce and adhere to all company safety policies, including wearing required PPE and promoting a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a powder coat department or similar manufacturing environment.

• Leadership experience, preferably in a production or manufacturing setting.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.

• Knowledge of powder coating processes, equipment, and safety procedures.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time.
