Job Opening: Quality Inspector

Shift schedule: morning, 7:00AM – 3:30PM

Pay: $18.00 per hour

We are seeking someone with experience with quality inspection for a manufacturing facility in Homer. 

The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that products meet all quality standards and customer specifications before they are approved for shipment or further production. This role involves examining materials, components, and finished products using visual inspections, measuring tools, and testing equipment. The Quality Inspector documents findings, identifies defects, and communicates issues to supervisors or production teams to maintain consistent product quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.

• Use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other testing devices.

• Verify products meet company specifications, customer requirements, and safety standards.

• Record inspection results accurately and maintain detailed documentation.

• Identify, tag, and report defective or nonconforming products.

• Work closely with machine operators, supervisors, and quality teams to address issues.

• Follow established quality procedures and support continuous improvement efforts.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to all safety guidelines.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects.

• Knowledge of quality standards and inspection techniques.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, or spec sheets (when applicable).

• Basic math skills and familiarity with measuring tools.

• Good communication and documentation skills.

• Experience in manufacturing or production environments preferred.
