Role Summary
Build, test, troubleshoot, and repair RF assemblies and subsystems used in microwave products. Partner with Engineering and Quality to meet performance specs and on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Assembly & Rework: Assemble electro-mechanical RF modules and cable harnesses to print; perform component-level rework per IPC standards.
- Test & Verification: Set up and execute bench tests using spectrum analyzers, network analyzers (S-parameters), power meters, and signal generators; record results per controlled procedures.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose to board/component level (PLL/oscillators, filters, amplifiers), isolate faults, and implement corrective actions.
- Calibration Support: Assist with routine instrument checks and verify measurement setups for accuracy and repeatability.
- Documentation: Complete travelers, test records, nonconformance reports, and ECO rework logs accurately and on time.
- Continuous Improvement: Provide feedback to engineering on yield issues; contribute to root-cause analysis and process improvements.
Core Qualifications
- Education/Experience: 2–5 years hands-on RF bench experience in manufacturing or depot repair.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with RF test equipment (spectrum/network analyzers, power meters), soldering/rework, reading schematics and RF block diagrams.
- Quality/Standards: Familiar with AS9100/QA documentation and IPC/J-STD workmanship practices.
- Soft Skills: Attention to detail, documentation discipline, and cross-functional communication with QE/ME/Design Eng.
