Job Title: Cycle Counter (Temporary – Maternity Leave Coverage)

Location: Plainfield Facility
Duration: Approximately 3–4 months
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 10-hour shifts (5:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Overtime: Mandatory on Saturdays and Sundays when requested by the client
Pay Range: $19.75 – $21.25 per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Cycle Counter to join our team on a temporary basis to cover a maternity leave. This role is critical to maintaining accurate inventory levels and supporting overall warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute inventory control processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with documented procedures.
• Perform cycle counts as directed by the Inventory Control Manager.
• Prepare for and conduct physical inventory audits.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies; recommend and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Assist with receiving, returns, and shipping functions when required.
• Enter inventory data and transactions into the warehouse management system using keyboards and scanners.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to support safety and inventory control.
• Manage time effectively to complete tasks and demonstrate strong work habits and commitment to quality.
• Utilize appropriate safety equipment and follow all safety protocols; proactively identify and report potential hazards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to operate a computer with proficiency.
• Strong math skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to investigate and troubleshoot inventory discrepancies.
• Minimum of 1 year of cycle counting experience (3+ years preferred).
• Minimum of 1 year in a manufacturing environment (3+ years in heavy-duty manufacturing preferred).
• Ability to operate fork truck, reach truck, and order picker.
