Pay/Schedule:
- $25 – $30 per hour (depending on experience)
- 6:00am – 6:00pm
- 7 days on / 7 days off
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Observe and listen to operating machinery to diagnose malfunctions and determine repair needs
- Study blueprints, sketches, and machine specifications
- Dismantle machinery or equipment to access and remove defective parts
- Examine parts for imperfections; inspect used parts for dimensional changes
- Adjust and repair functional parts, control instruments, and devices
- Replace defective mechanical parts and troubleshoot failures
- Install structural and functional components within equipment
- Assemble and test machinery to verify corrected issues
- Work with management and production operators on preventative/predicative maintenance
- Set up and operate drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools
- Repair electric la equipment or replace wiring, switches, and relays
- Coordinate with outside service providers as needed
- Initiate purchase orders for parts, repairs, or replacement equipment
- Monitor paper-recycling operations; perform minor repairs and coordinate major repairs with management
- Ensure OSHA, EPA, and company safety compliance
Requires Skills and Abilities:
- Certificate from college or technical school and 3 - 5 years of industrail maintenance experience or equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, sketches, and machine specifications
- Ability to add, subtract, multiple, and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
- Experience diagnosing mechanical issues using equipment sounds and operational behavior
- Skilled in dismantling machinery, repairing defective parts, and reinstalling components
- Ability to use drill press, grinder, metalworking tools to make or repair parts.
- Electrical repair skills (wiring, switches, relays)
- Ability to adjust and repair control instruments and functional machine parts
- Experience performing preventative and predictive maintenance
- Demonstrated leadership, organization, and strong communication skills.
- Ability to give clear technical direction to others and assist production and safety teams.
