Job Title: Journeyman Electrician
Location: New Hope, MN
Pay: $36/hr – Based on Experience
Schedule: 7:00 PM – 5:00 AM
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team in New Hope, MN. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on a wide range of production and packaging equipment. The ideal candidate has a strong background in industrial electrical systems, controls, automation, and equipment support within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and repair electrical and control systems for production and packaging equipment such as extruders, dryers, conveying systems, cartoners, baggers, palletizers, and similar machinery

Partner with operations and maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues and perform preventative and predictive maintenance tasks

Train production team members on electrical and control system components

Maintain electrical systems in compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards

Modify, add, and update electrical systems with minimal supervision

Maintain and update control system backups, schematics, and electrical documentation

Support capital projects from planning through implementation

Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics

Perform additional related duties as assigned
Education & Experience Requirements:

Two-year Electrical Technician degree and/or one of the following:
-
Completed apprenticeship in electro-mechanical, electrical, controls, or related field

Relevant military training and experience

3+ years of hands-on experience in electrical, controls, or automation roles

Willingness to obtain CPR certification

Ability to work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts, and overtime as needed
Preferred Qualifications:

MN State Class A Journeyman Electrician License

Previous leadership or lead technician experience

Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment

Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs, HMIs, touch screens, and VFDs
-
OSHA 10 certification

Experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, or similar equipment
