Location: Grand Rapids MI

Shift: Monday – Friday  2p – 10p Overtime as needed

Pay Rate: $21.00 an hour

we are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Material Handler to join our dynamic team. This role is essential to maintaining efficient operations by ensuring timely movement, storage, and delivery of materials within our manufacturing facility. You will operate forklifts and other material handling equipment, manage inventory, and support production and shipping activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate  slip sheet forklifts and other equipment to move, stack, and relocate materials.
• Pick up and deliver parts and supplies between production lines, warehouse, and shipping/receiving areas.
• Load and unload trailers and verify incoming shipments using RF scanners and SAP systems.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure materials are stored in designated areas.
• Prepare shipments and shipping documents using UPS/FedEx systems.
• Promote a clean and safe work environment in accordance with 5S standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2–3 years of experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and SAP systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
