Job Opening: Die Setter
Description
Employbridge is seeking and experienced Plastic Injection Mold Die Setter to join our team in Sterling Heights, MI The purpose of the Die Setter is to set sample and production tooling, auxiliary equipment and make work station ready to run. Maintain tool condition and perform basic tool preventive maintenance. Assist as directed by Foreman. Die Setter as instructed will follow and enforce all company standards, policies, and instructions. When appropriate supervise shift personnel and help maintain the process parameters. Set and start-up machines as required and train directed.
Shift: 8:00am -4:00pm
Pay: Up to $24 per hour
The Foreman in tool changes will instruct the Die-Setter. Once information is received the diesetter will remove the finished tool from the press and set-in the new tool, water up and add all required auxiliary equipment per process set-up sheets. Will oversee that the entire area is ready for production by coordinating with custodian and material handler. Write and update process set-up sheets. Will perform preventive maintenance as directed.
Key Responsibilities
- Pull and set-up sample and production tooling.
- Make all auxiliary equipment and work station ready for production.
- Read write set-up information on Process set-up sheets.
- Perform machine and tool preventive maintenance as directed.
- Assist Foreman as instructed.
Qualifications
- At least two years recent experience die setting in plastics
- Ability to perform simple math
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
