Belleville – Team Lead (Production Technician 2)
Schedule: 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Pay: $17.00/hr
Status: Non-Exempt | Overtime: As needed
Job Summary
We’re seeking a Production Technician 2 (Team Lead) to oversee daily production goals, ensure quality standards, and support efficient machine operations. This position involves leading a small team, staging materials, and maintaining safety and productivity standards on multiple types of equipment (including 227, Alphaliner, and Ferag machines).
The Production Technician 2 also performs duties of a Feeder/Strapper as needed and reports directly to the Production Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities

Load and unload materials into machines; perform feeder/strapper duties as needed.

Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot machine operations for optimal performance.

Conduct regular quality checks (QC) on finished products and address productivity or quality issues.

Use a computer interface to track performance, log data into Excel, and respond to machine prompts.

Maintain a clean and safe work area while supporting audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

Lead, coach, and communicate effectively with production team members.

Participate in team business meetings and assist with daily prioritization to meet production goals.
Qualifications
Education:
-
High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
Experience:
-
1–3 years of related production or machine operation experience (Preferred)

Basic computer experience (Excel, data entry, reporting)

Ability to operate pallet jacks and understand machine components
Physical Requirements & Work Environment

Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs., stand, walk, and reach throughout the shift.

Regular exposure to moving machinery, airborne particles, and industrial noise (hearing protection provided).

Must be able to work overtime as required to meet production deadlines.
Interested candidates should have prior team lead or production experience and be comfortable in a hands-on, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
