Industrial Painter Assistant – 1st Shift

We’re hiring a Painter Assistant to prep metal parts for painting by sanding, grinding, masking, and applying primer. This role supports the paint shop team and ensures high-quality finishes while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prep surfaces by sanding, filling, and masking
• Mix and apply primer with minimal defects
• Inspect parts and verify work order specs
• Maintain paint booth and equipment
• Follow safety and PPE guidelines
• Communicate material shortages and paint issues

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in industrial or auto body painting preferred
• Ability to read part drawings and follow instructions
• Strong attention to detail and work ethic
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks
• Comfortable using hand and power tools
