- Ensure compliance of our OSHA, USDA, FDA, SQF, an HAACP policies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including respect and compliance for GMP’s and SOP’s.
- Maintain a high standard of quality throughout the production process and address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
- Utilize SAP and other software to perform transaction functions for materials flow. Trains new and existing team members on the operation of all PC’s, software, relevant PLC interfaces, and instrumentation, the importance of following work instructions, and provides documentation of training.
- Leads and coordinates employee element of assigned work group(s) to maximize efficiency. This includes activities such as hiring of staff, corrective actions, annual review process, training, coaching, counseling, conflict resolution, and other discipline of staff.
- Empower employees to effectively perform their tasks independently at the expected level by ensuring that the necessary knowledge, training, and tools have been provided while developing training tools where needed.
- Promote and engage in a culture of safety.
- Will help the site implement new equipment, develop SOP’s, and complete product qualification steps on new equipment.
- Participate in developing production schedules at weekly scheduling meeting. Schedules and coordinates the daily activities of the operators to meet production processing and adherence to plan requirements.
- Participates in process troubleshooting and HAACP teams for continuous improvement of existing and new process equipment.
- Reports all equipment and instrumentation malfunctions immediately for repair and assists in trouble shooting and diagnosing problems to ensure timely repair. Initiates maintenance work orders.
- Continually ensures and oversees the cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of the equipment, area sanitation, and housekeeping procedures to ensure compliance with established internal programs and regulatory codes.
- Manage waste and ensure efficient use of materials
- Maintain communication between employees and senior management to ensure procedures and policies are well-understood.
- Maintains production tracking records, reports, and spreadsheets to provide information and data for monthly reporting of production efficiency and monthly KPI’s.
- Responsible for the scheduling of all production personnel, approving vacation requests, and arranges for coverage. Posts the weekly schedule for employees, updates schedules and time off requests daily. Updates HR manager with any time discrepancies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to listen effectively, respond appropriately, and maintain mutual comfort level while relating to a diverse workforce.

Qualifications:
- Knowledge of manufacturing tools and equipment.
- Experience with SAP is preferred.
- Excellent organization, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of computers and computer software with ability to apply this aptitude in word processing, excel spreadsheet development, and word document merges, and keyboarding skills.
- Ability to create and adhere to production processes.
- Advanced problem-solving skills and strong work ethic.
- Ability to establish credibility and be decisive.
- Active listening- giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions, as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- Coordination of actions in relation to other actions.
- Critical Thinking, using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Ability to produce professional correspondence.
- 2+ years’ experience of working as a Production Supervisor or other similar position.
- Ability to write reports legibly and accurately.
- Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
- Lift up to 50lbs.
