The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating powered industrial trucks to load, unload, move, stack, and stage materials and products. This role ensures the safe and efficient handling of goods while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting overall warehouse or production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.

• Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and containers.

• Move raw materials, parts, and finished goods to designated storage or production areas.

• Stack and organize pallets and materials in warehouse racks or staging areas.

• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks.

• Follow safety protocols, including OSHA guidelines, company policies, and proper PPE usage.

• Assist with inventory counts and cycle checks to maintain accuracy.

• Report equipment malfunctions, damages, or safety hazards promptly.

• Work closely with warehouse staff, shipping/receiving, and production teams to support workflow.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous forklift or material handling experience preferred.

• Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain).

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying conditions (cold, hot, noisy, etc.).

• Strong attention to safety and detail.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Basic math and inventory skills.

Work Environment:

• Warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing setting.

• Exposure to moving machinery, moderate noise levels, and varied temperatures.

• Standing, walking, bending, and operating equipment for extended periods.
