Job Title: Welder
Department/Location: Welding – Brooklyn Park, MN
Reports To: Production Manager
Schedule: 1st Shift – Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–3:30 PM; Friday, 6:00 AM–10:00 AM
Pay Range: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Position Summary

The Welder is responsible for performing MIG and TIG welding operations to produce high-quality parts that meet or exceed specifications. This role requires adherence to safety protocols, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain productivity, delivery, and quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Safety

Maintain a safe working environment and follow all safety rules and procedures.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

Production Operations

Set up and run MIG and TIG welding jobs in accordance with work instructions.
Meet or exceed standards for productivity, delivery, and quality.
Follow established rules, regulations, and procedures.

Quality

Inspect completed parts to ensure conformance to specifications.
Address quality issues promptly and effectively.

Inventory

Notify management when welding components, supplies, or consumables are running low.

ERP System

Clock in and out of jobs and record accurate counts in the ERP system.

Continuous Improvement / Waste Elimination

Participate in process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
Contribute ideas to improve workflow and productivity.

Best Practices

Support organizational processes, policies, and goals.
Document and follow best practices to ensure consistency and quality.

Additional Duties

Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.

Qualifications

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of welding experience preferred.

Knowledge & Skills:

Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding processes.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Strong understanding of quality standards and inspection processes.

Education:

Vocational training in welding or a related field preferred.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required for welding operations.
