Job Summary:

The Digital Printing Manufacturing Prepress Operator is responsible for preparing digital files for printing and ensuring high-quality output in a fast-paced digital print production environment. This role involves preflighting, file correction, color management, and setting up jobs for digital presses, ensuring all materials meet customer specifications and production requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

• Review and preflight digital files for print readiness, ensuring correct format, resolution, bleed, color profiles, and fonts.

• Prepare and impose files using prepress software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite)

• Adjust and troubleshoot files as needed to ensure accurate printing results.

• Communicate with internal teams (sales, customer service, production) regarding file issues or job requirements.

• Ensure color consistency and accuracy through proper color management and calibration.

• Output proofs or samples for approval and check for alignment with customer expectations.

• Maintain and organize digital file archives according to company standards.

• Operate RIP software and configure print jobs for output to digital presses or wide-format printers.

• Follow all company quality control procedures and safety guidelines.

• Stay updated on industry trends, software updates, and printing technology.

• 1+ years of experience in a prepress or digital printing environment.

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat).

• Knowledge of RIP software and digital press workflows (e.g., Fiery, Indigo, Xerox, Canon, HP, etc.).

• Strong attention to detail and quality.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with color theory, ICC profiles, and digital print standards.

• Experience with variable data printing (VDP) and/or wide-format printing is a plus.
