Job Opening: Forklift Driver

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Disassemble and reassemble container and molds • Clean container parts • Sand blast molds • Follow all safe work practices • Other duties may be assigned as necessary • Must be flexible with scheduling (1st, 2nd or 3rd shifts) and overtime hours • Punctuality and regular attendance is required KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: • No experience required • Basic hand finishing experience a plus • Strong shop mathematical skills, including but not limited to the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Familiarity with metric system a plus • Must be familiar with machinist’s hand tools and possess demonstrated mechanical aptitude • Ability to work safely, follow detailed work instructions, and read and interpret operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and blueprints PHYSICAL DEMANDS/INDOOR MANUFACTURING WORK ENVIRONMENT: • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel material • Must be able to communicate verbally and have ability to hear • The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms and stoop or crouch • The employee is occasionally required to sit at a work station • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to thirty (30) pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to focus • The employee is occasionally exposed to moderate cold and extreme heat EDUCATION/TRAINING: • High school diploma or equivalent required • Trade school a plus
