Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment Support: Post job openings, screen resumes, and schedule interviews for drivers, mechanics, and office staff.
- Onboarding: Process new hire paperwork, conduct background checks, and ensure smooth onboarding for all employees.
- Records Management: Maintain up-to-date employee records, including driver qualification files, training logs, and certifications.
- Compliance: Assist with ensuring adherence to DOT regulations and internal safety standards.
- Payroll Support: Collect and verify timekeeping records to support payroll processing.
- Employee Relations: Answer HR-related questions and provide support on policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Training Coordination: Schedule training, track certifications, and ensure timely license renewals.
- Incident Reporting: Help manage workers’ compensation claims and safety incident documentation.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform data entry, filing, and manage day-to-day HR correspondence.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or HR certification a plus)
- Previous experience in HR or administrative support, especially in trucking, logistics, or transportation
- Familiarity with DOT compliance and HR regulations (preferred)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Clear, professional communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
- Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive employee information
