Job Opening: Cable Technician

Hiring a Cable Technician for a great company in Tulsa!  

Pay: $20.00 a hour

First Shift: 8:00a.m.- 5:00p.m. Monday-Friday, Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed

POSITION SUMMARY:

• Follow specific assembly instructions to meet company standards
• Visually inspect internal and external components
• Test all electric cable connectors 
• Measure and cut cable to length on cable-cutting machine
• Follow procedures and complete tasks with attention to detail to complete quality products 
• Work effectively with all other personnel and be a team player
• Complete work assignments efficiently and to the highest quality level
•  Comply with Quality Assurance Policy and all requirements of the Quality Assurance Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions 
• Personally observe safety and security procedures and proper use of equipment and material.
• Actively promote safety process and report any safety issues to proper channels for action 
• Use and read basic measuring tools
• Ability to drive/operate loader and forklift
• Electrical knowledge NFP70E 
• Knowledge of and skills in mechanical problem diagnosis and repair work
• Knowledge of equipment types and components
• Knowledge of practices and procedures of the department
• Prior experience in oil field related jobs desired
• High School diploma or equivalent required
•  1+ years of shop experience preferred

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Regular contact with all levels of personnel throughout the organization
• Annual CPR / AED and Electrical safety training Working Conditions & Physical Requirements Continuously required to move about the facility Physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations
• Some work is in a non-climate controlled environment Continuous standing for long periods of time Capable of pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50 pounds from the floor to table Occasional travel and on call required Exposure to shop and field elements such as noise, dust, odors and temperature variations Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye and hearing protection, hardhat and safety shoes while in shop environment or on job.

• Lifting up to 50 pounds from the floor to table Occasional travel and on call required
