• 7pm to 7am/ 16.13 an hour

Job description

• Operate and monitor overwrap machinery, ensuring steady production and minimal unplanned downtime.
  

• Adjust machine settings as needed for product changeovers and varying job requirements.
  

• Perform quality control checks to ensure overwrap integrity, accurate counts, and defect-free output. Record production metrics and any issues.
  

• Read and understand job jackets, expansion symbols, and labeling to verify correct specifications.
  

• Maintain a clean, safe, orderly workspace and follow all company safety protocols.
  

• Handle material replenishment by loading and unloading overwrap film and finished products, and assist with packaging for shipping or storage.

• Troubleshoot simple machinery errors and escalate more complex issues to maintenance staff.
  

• Collaborate with team members, support flexible production and shift handoffs, and perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to interpret work orders, production specs, and labeling instructions.

• Detail-oriented with a focus on product quality and count accuracy.

• Capable of performing basic math and measurement conversions.

• Effective communication skills for shift handoffs, production logging, and team collaboration.

• Able to follow safety guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
