Job Opening: R&D Lab

Large Manufacturing Company in Chatsworth is looking for a R&D Lab Technician.

Shift: 1st Shift
Days: Monday – Friday
Pay: $22.00 (DOE)
Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Prepare lab batches as directed by R&D Management. Perform additional tasks related to lab batch testing, raw material testing and routine maintenance of lab equipment.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Make daily batches as assigned by a R&D Management
2. Make large scale batches in the lab as well as on the compounding floor.
3. Follow R&D Chemist’s instructions closely. Record and communicate any observations clearly.
4. Maintain housekeeping in conformance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) standards.
5. Adjust batches and take specifications as instructed by the R&D Chemist.
6. Generate necessary forms and labels to facilitate sample submission to external customers.
7. Calibrate and perform regular maintenance on lab equipment as per R&D procedures.
8. Test and release raw material samples for use in lab batches.
9. Assist lab personnel in daily activities and tasks.

PHYSICAL / EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. High School Diploma/Some College credit with emphasis on Science
2. Computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
3. Must be able to lift

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
1. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in R&D formulating lab environment
2. Must be able to work in a team environment and communicate clearly with others.
3. Must be punctual (on time).
4. Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
5. If needed, must be able to work until a project is completed.
6. Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining priority of assignments.
7. Attention to detail while completing tasks, recording data, and reporting information.
8. Must be able to maintain a clean and sanitary work area.
