Machine Operator
Job Title: Insertion Operator (Lettershop/Mail Department)
Position Summary: Responsible for operating the necessary machines during the Imaging/Laser printing. Responsible for all aspects of the process from beginning of operation to finished product leaving the department. Relies on pre-established guidelines to plan and accomplish goals (i.e. schedules posted or discussed by supervisor or manager, and productivity and efficiency standards).
Essential Functions:
- Start and shut down Continuous and Laser Imaging machines
- Read, interpret and understand Print Stream for each project
- Accurately set up all necessary machines for each project
- Follow all OSHA and safety rules with the goal of an incident free workplace
- Return unused inventory back to the warehouse once job is complete with proper identification on it.
- Ensure quality workmanship at all times
- Ensure that quality pulls are performed on every project following the company guidelines
- Ensure that the machines are stocked with toner and other supplies required to fulfill job requirements. Informing supervisor or manager prior to running out if more supplies are needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
- This position requires the ability to read, analyze and interpret project customer orders.
- Experience working with Continuous printers and or Cut sheet Imaging machines is preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Basic computer skills
- Basic mechanical skills are required
- High school diploma is required, some college preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Frequent use of hands and arms.
- Frequent bending, turning, pushing, pulling
- Continuous standing for extended periods of time.
- Frequent identification of letters, numbers, and symbols in a production environment.
- Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
- Read and interpret documents and instructions
- Ability to use a keyboard and operate equipment typically found in a mail production facility setting
- Ability to adapt to the noise levels from the machines found in a production area
- Ability to adapt to the changing climates within a warehouse/ production setting
