Job Opening: Blow Mold Process Technician
Description
The primary purpose of the Process Technician is to work with the Shift Supervisor to operate, troubleshoot, document, and communicate on all equipment that is not performing within specifications. This position may perform supervisory tasks such as: designating Packer / Handlers and other team members to meet production schedules, opening/closing the building as required, and overseeing employees in the absence of management. In performing these responsibilities, associates are to work safely, efficiently, and cooperatively in a manner that demonstrates team member involvement. This role requires leadership skills, good communication skills, the ability to think critically, learn new processes, be self-motivated, adapt to changes, and work in a fast-paced environment with a broad range of people.
Overall Responsibilities:

- · Set up machines/equipment for operation, including material, color, molds, auxiliary equipment, etc.
- · Keep supervisor/management informed of all problems
- · Start-up machines and monitor quality to maintain appropriate sizes and standards
- · Make appropriate adjustments to machines to maintain efficient production levels and document appropriately
- · Oversee proper packaging procedures
- · Review production schedules and ensure machines are running production to meet customer demands
- · Respond to alarms and/or requests for assistance to correct machine malfunctions and/or Packer/Handler problems
- · Coordinate with Quality Assurance and Maintenance Departments concerning machine operations and malfunctions
- · Inspect scrap to prevent any usable product from being ground and record scrap numbers
- · Ensure housekeeping standards and all safety procedure are maintained
- · Ensure a smooth transition between shifts
Qualifications, Skills, Competencies:
- Prior blow molding experience is a plus
- Mechanical aptitude and literacy with equipment control panels for complex machines
- Ability to analyze product and mechanically understand equipment to get desired output
- Forklift Certification
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- This position will need to stand, bend, squat, kneel, crawl & reach. This position requires consistent use of arm(s), wrist, elbow with repeated squeezing and grasping. Will be required to lift up to 40 pounds.
- · May be exposed to loud noise (these areas require hearing protection).
- · May be exposed to plastic resin odors as a byproduct of the manufacturing process.
- · May be exposed to heat in excess of 100 degrees as a result of outside temperatures.
- · The employee is required to wear personal protective equipment.
