One of our amazing clients in the High Point area is looking for a Food Grade Mixer
Shift and Pay: 1st shift M-F 6:25am-3pm $18hr
As a Machine Operator II, you will perform tasks involved in the operation of industrial sized mixing equipment to make a variety of granola and nut cluster products. The position follows methods, best practices, and safe work habits to ensure we produce high quality products in an efficient manner. This is how you’ll do it…
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining a safe working environment by following all safety programs and procedures
- Following our site-wide Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safety Quality Food (SQF) protocols as well as safety protocols specific to mixing to ensure cleanliness, no cross contamination and no foreign materials are introduced during the process
- Operating and adjusting machinery specifications and quality parameters. This includes setting up, starting up, and proper shutdown of each piece of equipment.
- Reading and understanding batch sheets to follow recipes and accurately weigh raw material ingredients – Mixing Area
- Monitoring and correcting consistency and moisture; make adjustments accordingly – Mixing Area
- Meeting production efficiency standards for shift
- Completing production and quality logs both on paper using good documentation practices and in Redzone according to requirements
- Manually moving pallets of materials or finished goods with pallet jack
- Monitoring product for quality issues throughout shift. Report product or equipment issues to the production process lead or quality assurance technician and follow proper procedures
- Perform janitorial tasks to keep the production area clutter-free, organized, and free of safety hazards

Physical Demands
The below list outlines the physical requirements of all team members in this role since job rotation during the course of the day or work week is a requirement for ergonomic and staffing reasons.
- Effectively communicating both verbally and in writing with other team members
- Using hands to lift, weigh, label and move boxed and bagged products and large mixing bowls
- Constantly stand and walk about work area for duration of shift
- Ability to lift and move 20-50 lbs. frequently
- Ability to push/pull product and materials using a manual / electric pallet jack
- Bending, standing, walking, stooping, squatting for duration of 8–12-hour shift
- Wearing of proper PPE including hearing protection, safety glasses and safety shoes for duration of shift
