Job Summary:

The Forklift Driver is responsible for safely operating various types of forklifts to move, locate, stack, load, and unload materials or products within a warehouse, production, or distribution environment. This role supports shipping, receiving, inventory control, and general warehouse operations to ensure efficient and accurate handling of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate forklifts including sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, pallet jack, cherry picker, or clamp truck depending on task and load type.
Safely load and unload trailers, containers, pallets, and storage racks.
Transport materials throughout the facility as directed, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Pull orders for shipment or production based on pick lists or RF scanner instructions.
Perform daily equipment inspections and report mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately.
Assist in staging, labeling, wrapping, or palletizing materials as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas.
Follow all company safety rules, policies, and OSHA regulations while operating equipment.
Support inventory control processes including cycle counts and material tracking.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with multiple forklift types (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, cherry picker).
Familiarity with warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
Good communication and teamwork skills.

Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and meeting production goals.
Basic math and reading skills; familiarity with RF scanners or warehouse systems is a plus.
Willingness to work flexible shifts, overtime, or weekends as needed.
