Location: Fraser, MI
Shift: 3:00pm -11:00pm
Direct Hire
Pay: Up to $28 per hour
The CNC Mill Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC milling machines to produce precision parts according to engineering drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented team player with strong technical skills and a dedication to maintaining high quality standards.
Job duties include but are not limited to:

Set up CNC milling machines, including tool selection, workpiece loading, and fixture installation.

Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to determine machining operations.

Operate CNC mills to perform tasks such as drilling, boring, and contouring metal and plastic workpieces.

Adjust machine controls and change tool settings to keep dimensions within specifications.

Perform first-part inspections and in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).

Maintain clean and safe working environment by complying with safety procedures and regulations.

Identify and troubleshoot minor machine malfunctions and notify maintenance as needed.

Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimize machining processes.

Record production and inspection data accurately and timely.
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required

3+ years of experience operating and setting up CNC milling machines.

Strong knowledge of G-code and CNC program interpretation.

Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and tools.

Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.

Solid understanding of machining practices, speeds, feeds, and tooling concepts.

Experience with Fanuc, Haas, or similar CNC controls a plus.

Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts.

Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.

Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
