MIG/Stick Welder – Fabrication Specialist

Location: Almont, MI

Pay: $20.00–$25.00/hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Full-time 7a-430p Monday-Friday

We’re seeking a skilled MIG/Stick Welder to join our fabrication team in Almont. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with a solid understanding of sheet metal work, blueprint reading, and welding precision. Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and Stick welding to fabricate parts using sheet metal

• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings

• Use measuring tools and basic hand tools to ensure quality standards

• Lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs during the fabrication process

• Inspect, identify, and repair improper welds as necessary

• Operate shop software or digital tools for job tracking or measurement (training provided if needed)

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace

Requirements

• Proven experience with MIG and Stick welding techniques

• Must pass an on-site weld test prior to employment

• Ability to read blueprints and operate standard measuring tools

• Familiarity with basic fabrication shop tools and processes

• Comfortable with physical requirements: lifting, bending, and standing

• Experience with fabrication-related software is a plus
