Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator
Customary Days: Monday – Friday (Weekends as needed)
Customary Hours: 50 hours per week
This position operates heavy equipment in the mining operation. This may consist of bulldozers, excavators, road graders and front end loaders.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate, drive and control heavy equipment
- Have complete knowledge of machine settings
- Check and maintain equipment functionality often
- Keep performance records of machine functionality regularly
- Promptly report any accidents, injuries or mechanical faults to management
- Perform daily preop inspections
- Comply with all safety rules and regulations
- Perform additional duties as required
Education and Experience: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Previous equipment operating experience required
