Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic Entry-Level Maintenance Technician or Intern to support our plastic injection molding operations. This role focuses on performing preventative maintenance (PM) tasks and assisting with the upkeep of mechanical systems. The ideal candidate is pursuing a technical education with hands-on experience in mechanical systems (e.g., automotive, machinery, or similar). This position offers a great opportunity to gain practical experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This opportunity is a full time position – Monday – Friday 7am to 3pm. 

Qualifications

• Education: Currently pursuing a technical certification.
• Experience:
• Basic experience with mechanical systems (e.g., automotive repair, machinery maintenance, or similar) is preferred.
• At least one year of mechanical and electoral experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Preventative Maintenance (PM): Execute scheduled PM tasks on plastic injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and related mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Equipment Troubleshooting: Assist in diagnosing and resolving basic mechanical issues under the guidance of senior technicians or engineers.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including PM logs and repair notes.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment in compliance with OSHA, SQF and company standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with production teams to support operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Tool and Equipment Use: Utilize hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to perform maintenance tasks. Must provide own basic tools.
• Equipment / Plant Cleaning: Clean all maintenance areas, including compressor room, shop, and water system areas.
