Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure regular attendance and dependability during scheduled shifts.
- Coordinate and schedule movement of inventory throughout the warehouse.
- Implement daily production and shipping schedules in alignment with operational goals.
- Monitor and manage the daily flow of finished products.
- Verify item availability through inventory checks and system audits.
- File and follow up on freight claims as needed.
- Direct forklift drivers for optimal storage and retrieval of products.
- Manually repack or restack pallets when necessary.
- Operate forklift trucks safely and effectively.
- Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and reports related to warehouse activity.
- Serve as the daily production scheduler to keep operations on track.
- Create and ship transfer orders using internal systems.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager or Supervisors.
Requirements:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with inventory codes and warehouse terminology (or willingness to learn).
- Deep understanding of warehouse policies and best practices.
- High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and decision-making ability.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate across departments.
- Working knowledge of machinery and warehouse equipment.
- Self-starter with great time management and multitasking ability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with AX (Microsoft Dynamics AX) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Solid reading, writing, and basic math skills.
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of forklift experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in warm environments.
- Adequate vision and hearing capabilities to perform job duties safely and effectively.
