We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Associate with experience in high-paced production environments, preferably within the glass or materials manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient handling of materials, adherence to quality standards, and active participation in continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all plant safety standards, company policies, and OSHA regulations at all times.
- Promptly report any safety incidents, near-miss situations, or unsafe conditions to management.
- Utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Training and Onboarding:
- Complete all department-specific training under the guidance of the Department Lead to ensure understanding of processes and equipment.
- Maintain current knowledge of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
- Quality Control:
- Perform visual and manual inspections of glass products to ensure finished goods and work-in-progress (WIP) meet strict quality specifications.
- Identify and properly discard defective glass, documenting and reporting any recurring quality concerns to supervisors for corrective action.
- Production Monitoring:
- Observe and maintain workstation operations, including equipment, tools, and production practices, and report any irregularities or maintenance needs to management.
- Operate plant scanners and other traceability tools to accurately document work orders and production data.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) events and other quality improvement initiatives as needed.
- Provide feedback and suggest process enhancements to improve product quality, safety, and productivity.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in glass, construction materials, or industrial production.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
- Familiarity with safety and compliance regulations.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and follow instructions precisely.
- Basic computer and scanner operation skills preferred.
