Job Title: Compression Mold Press Operator

Shift Time: 7:00a – 3:30p
Pay Rate: $18

Job Description: The mold press operator is responsible for the set up, operation and maintenance of compression mold press machines used in shaping, forming, and molding of carbon fiber composite parts. This role ensures that molds and tools are kept in optimal consistent, high-quality production output and safe work conditions.

Responsibilities:
•Operate molding press machines to manufacture carbon products in accordance with production specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements
•Install and change molds, dies, and other tooling as needed for production runs.
•Perform tool and mold maintenance to ensure consistent mold performance and product quality
•Inspect molded parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure compliance with quality standards
• Monitor part quality and mold condition to identify process stability and prevent issues
• Read and interpret production drawings, job orders, and work instructions
• Conduct basic machine adjustments to improve efficiency and minimize defects

Requirements:
• 1-2 years of experience operating a mold press
• 1-2 years of tool maintenance experience.
•Ability to use hand tools and perform mechanical tasks
•Able to meet the maximum recommended weight limit (RWL) lift defined by national institute for occupational safety and health (NIOSH) of 50 pounds
