Job Description
- Complete walkthrough with the prior shift operator, including the 5S checklist, pass-down notes, and report any discrepancies immediately.
- Review the daily production schedule to understand priorities and follow up with your supervisor for clarification if needed.
- Correctly start injection machines and produce preforms
- Check resin levels via the hopper and replenish resin as needed throughout the shift.
- Replenish auxiliary materials for injection, including gaylords, bags, and additives.
- Promptly resolve minor stops to minimize downtime.
- Conduct planned minor preventative maintenance on molds and machines (e.g., cleaning, lubing, maintaining oil and grease levels).
- Perform corrective maintenance, such as clearing machine jams, unjamming molds, and addressing minor equipment issues.
- Make observations to identify and address issues affecting safety, availability, or efficiency.
- Perform visual inspections of preforms (“one shot”) for color and defects for each machine (5 injection machines). Reinspect every other hour and document findings.
- Identify and document non-conforming products; escalate defects following the Injection Escalation Plan Diagram, and communicate with QA and Supervisor as needed.
- Alter processes to eliminate minor defects (e.g., shorts, long gates).
- Document recipes and machine parameters electronically using the statistical application (Supercep).
- Input process variables every 2 hours via the Supercep application.
- Validate scrap quantities entered on reports and document them via the Production Efficiency Report.
- Complete the Production Efficiency Report daily, ensuring all headers are filled out.
- Add resin batch information on the log sheet for each new batch.
- Fill out the electronic Injection Log Sheet via Google Drive for each machine per shift.
- Support maintenance during mold changes.
- Correct water leaks in molds and complete cavity blockages as needed.
- Conduct lubrication and cleaning of molds and machines to maintain functionality.
- Refill auxiliary equipment with additives as required.
- Provide training to new hires based on job descriptions and position expectations.
- .Promote a safe work environment by adhering to all safety policies, including wearing PPE in production areas and following LOTO procedures.

- Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and IMS standards.
- Adhere to Standards of Conduct: Be Respectful, Work Independently, Foster Teamwork.
- Perform packaging, gaylord changes, and production labeling as needed.
- Utilize Google Suite for data entry and daily reporting.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production issues or updates.
