Job Opening: Maintenance Technician

This job has the opportunity to go full time after 90 days with a large, well established manufacturer in Kinston, NC. This is a 2 2 3 schedule, 7pm to 7am.

The right candidate has an opportunity to start in this entry level Maintenance Technician position and move up the ladder.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing of production machinery in an efficient manner as emergency repairs are needed.

Preventative Maintenance work will be completed to maintain the machinery, eliminate future breakdowns and increase machine productivity.

They will work with production leaders to support the machine operation and production efficiency.

The Shift Maintenance Technician will represent the Maintenance Department and will coordinate or perform some facility management activities as required.

The work will require heavy lifting, climbing, working in hot, cold, or grease and dirty conditions at times.

-  Problem-Solving 

 -  Disassembly and assembly of multiple configurations of mechanical electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic fans, pumps, gearbox, motors and drives.

-  Reading and interpreting documents such as schematics, diagrams, drawings, operational and instructional manuals and program documentation

 -  Using specific test equipment to perform job task as assigned 

-  Must furnish appropriate hand tools for the job.
