Position Overview: The Automation Technician is responsible for the installation, programming, modification, and troubleshooting of electrical and pneumatic control systems for automation equipment. This role ensures optimal system performance by adhering to schematics and implementing effective PLC programming.
Qualifications and Competencies Required:
- Proven experience with troubleshooting and repairing electrical circuits, instrumentation, and control systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Understanding of electrical codes and standards
- Familiarity with sensors, actuators, motor controls, and relay logic.
- Knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting
- Experience with HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems
- Basic knowledge of networking (Ethernet and Modbus) a plus.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Strong observation and problem-solving skills to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education: Associates degree from two-year technical school or three to five years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
