Job Opening: Stringer/Machine Operator

Machine Operator Openings for new plant site in Rogers, MN!
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 4 on 4 off rotation (2 weeks of days 6am-6pm, 2 weeks of nights 6pm -6am)
Pay range: $23.50 – $26/hr
Night Shift Premium: +$1 per hour
The Machine Operator is an integral member of the Operations team. Machine Operators work with the Stringer machine, which is the lynchpin of the production of Photovoltaic Modules. The Machine Operator performs functions, as assigned to ensure the Stringer machine is running properly including but not limited to:
- Handle cells using proper techniques and load cells into stringer machines.
- Start and stop automatic operation under normal circumstances.
- Perform ribbon changes in a timely manner.
- Perform two-hour cleanings in a timely manner that follows proper techniques.
- Perform daily cleanings.
- Track machine downtime and cell usage/waste.
- Understand the string EL and be able to make quick accurate decisions based on the EL image.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and use HMI diagnostics to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with quality and production standards through regular parameter adjustments.
- Work safely and effectively with all members of the production team.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Preference given to people with demonstrated technical capabilities and manufacturing experience. On the job training provided if necessary
- Must possess technical capabilities
- Experience with HMI interfaces is an asset
- Strong attention to detail
- Capable of understanding and following oral and written instructions
- Troubleshooting skills
- Maintain production and quality standards
- Ability to lift 30 lbs.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that requires standing for long periods of time
- Computer experience is considered an asset
- Soldering experience
- Previous manufacturing experience is an asset
