Forklift Operators Needed in the Fabens

  • $13/hr
  • 1st shift 6:00am -5pm 
  • 2nd shift 6:00pm – 4:30am
  • Must be open for both shifts
  • Saturdays mandatory

Ensure compliance with food safety and GMP requirements for facility.
OSHA Forklift certification and 6 months to a year’s experience.
Ensures all HSE material handling policies and procedures are fulfilled in daily activities.
Transport finished goods and materials and supports packaging lines.
Able to safely load and unload trailers of finished goods or raw materials.
Understands warehouse safety and can properly secure trailers for loading.
Can read and understand Bills of Lading, Shipping Logs and associated documents De-palletizes, stretch wraps, and moves pallets to storage
Receives, reconciles inventories and materials, and understands incoming industry receiving practices
Understands warehouse processes and knowledgeable in cycle counting practices to include hand-held digital scanners.
Stage product – understands shipping process, pick/pack and ship
Works closely with transport drivers to maintain safe dock areas through orderly traffic flow and use of required safety equipment PC knowledge is required.
 
 

Preferred Qualifications

Critical Reading - Be able to follow instructions, read and understand equipment manuals and procedures.

2-3 years of Warehouse Experience

Physical Requirements - Standing continuously for at least 2 - 3 hours at one time. Frequent- Lifting, Rotating and Stooping with up to

5 Lbs. Occasional- Lifting, rotating, and stooping with up to 25 Lbs. Infrequent- Must be able to lift to 50 Lbs. Not afraid of heights.

 

Working Conditions

Work is performed both in the office and on a food manufacturing production floor. This would include going in and out of coolers and freezers.

Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours but may include weekends. Must be flexible to work other shifts.
