Description
Position Summary:
We are seeking skilled welders to join our manufacturing team at our solar pipe production facility in Sealy, TX. The welder will be responsible for performing high-quality welds on metal components used in solar energy systems, following precise specifications to ensure durability, safety, and compliance with production standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding on stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel components used in solar pipe systems.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to ensure accurate assembly and fabrication.
- Set up welding equipment, select proper materials, and prepare parts for welding.
- Inspect completed welds for quality, strength, and compliance with specifications.
- Use grinders, cutters, and other fabrication tools as needed for finishing.
- Follow all safety protocols including wearing proper PPE (steel-toe boots, safety glasses, welding shields, gloves, etc.).
- Maintain clean and organized workstations in accordance with 5S and lean manufacturing principles.
- Collaborate with production team members, supervisors, and quality control staff to meet daily production goals.
- Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
Schedule & Pay:
- Monday – Friday, Saturdays as needed (sometimes mandatory)
- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM shifts available
- $20–$25/hour depending on experience
- Overtime available
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- 1+ year of welding experience (MIG/TIG highly preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Familiarity with welding safety standards and practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a manufacturing environment.
- Welding certifications (AWS, etc.) a plus but not required.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
