Job Requirements

  • Minimum 12 months relevant MIG welding experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to use basic hand and power tools
  • Basic Math
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Able to read blueprints/drawings
  • Hand eye coordination and dexterity
  • Basic metallurgy knowledge

Job Responsibilities

  • Experience on forklift and powered industrial equipment, a plus
  • Apprenticeship, vocational training, and/or certification, a plus
  • Robotic welding experience, a plus
  • Electric arc and inert gas experience
  • Follow standard work instructions as assigned
  • Follow safety guidelines, including proper use of PPE (personal protective equipment)
  • Perform hands-on tasks
  • Machine set up
  • Measuring, cutting, and assembling metal products
  • Grinding and polishing finished products
  • Work in a team environment
  • Troubleshoot issues
  • Meet production standards
  • Lift up to 50lbs, stand, bend, and reach
  • Maintain clean and organized workspace
  • Accurate recordkeeping and inventory documentation

Pay Rate $17

Health Benefits

Installation and wiring repair on electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment by performing the following duties.

Performs supervised new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes.

Follows "as built" sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, or follows diagrams Blueprints.

Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit; effectively operates/maintains hand conduit benders and pipe threaders.

Pulls wiring through conduit without damaging or chafing wires.

Splices wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads, twisting or soldering wires together, and applying tape or terminal caps.

Connects wiring to basic electrical components such as lighting fixtures and heaters.

Performs simple installation of apparatus such as switches, receptacles, and circuit-breaker panels.

Connects power cables to equipment and installs grounding leads.

Learns how to test continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components with testing instruments such as multimeters.
